The optimum temperature for wine storage ranges from 11 to 16°C. This temperature is achieved using special air conditioners designed for wine cellars. Based on our experience, we recommend that our clients should maintain a temperature of around 14°C in their wine cellars.
One of the frequently asked questions in wine storage is about the division of storage space for red and white wines. This distinction is not important in wine storage. What is crucial is the stability in a given temperature range.
The temperature of the wine when serving in turn depends on many aspects, and ranges from 5°C to 20°C.

Humidity in the cellar is essential: if it is too high, there is risk of mould, and if too low, corks may dry out. Generally, humidity should be in the range from 50% to 80%. Most passive cellars have higher humidity than recommended and, on the contrary, most active cellars have lower humidity.
This issue is related to the selection of appropriate air conditioning. Industrial air conditioning dries air vigorously within a short time and subsequently reduces humidity too much. Air-conditioning systems designed for storage don’t dry out air to such an extent and maintain humidity in the desired range.
